How do I transfer my guarantee when selling my home? ▼

Transferring your guarantee is simple and free. Just contact our customer service team on 0800 048 08 07 with the sale completion date and new owner's details. We'll issue new guarantee certificates within 5 working days. The guarantee can be transferred unlimited times throughout its duration, adding significant value to your property sale.

What happens if 5 Star Windows ceases trading? ▼

Your investment is fully protected through our insurance-backed guarantee with the Consumer Protection Association (CPA). If we were ever unable to honor our obligations, the CPA would arrange for another approved installer to complete any necessary work under the terms of your guarantee. This protection lasts for 10 years and requires no additional premium.

Do I need to register my guarantee? ▼

No registration is required. Your guarantee is automatically activated upon completion of installation and FENSA registration. You'll receive your guarantee certificate and FENSA compliance certificate within 14 days of installation. We handle all the paperwork for you.

What maintenance is required to keep my guarantee valid? ▼

Only basic maintenance is required: annual lubrication of hinges and locks with light oil or silicone spray, cleaning frames with warm soapy water twice yearly, keeping drainage slots clear of debris, and checking weatherseals for damage. We provide a comprehensive maintenance guide with every installation. Failure to maintain products won't void your guarantee for manufacturing defects.

How do I make a claim under the guarantee? ▼

If the issue is covered under guarantee, we'll schedule the repair or replacement at a time convenient to you.
